Vehicle Description
This 2000 Ford Excursion XLT is a 4x4 with V10 power and the size
to make sure you don't have to leave anything or anyone behind. So
if you love them big, powerful, useful, and absolutely awesome,
this affordable SUV is for you.
The red paint has a clean style and a nice glow. It helps to show
off the crisp look and beefy body lines. And the bright chrome
bumpers of the upscale XLT model go well with the grille and
polished rocker trim. A full-length pinstripe, and attractive
16-inch alloys give this a tasteful style. But nothing in this
presentation ever gets too fancy. And that's because a vehicle as
capable as the Excursion doesn't want you to hesitate to use it to
the fullest. The suspension is tall for a true 4x4 prowess, and a
proper tow hitch means boats, campers, trailers, or any other fun
you want to bring can easily come along on your adventures.
Those lighted running boards make it easy to hop into the loaded
interior. The driver's seat is a command position with a
power-adjusting high-back bucket seat. A folding armrest, cup
holder center console, overhead console, tilt steering column, and
full gauges keep you comfortable and informed. There are more great
amenities, like power windows (including power rear vent windows),
power locks, keyless entry, dual front airbags, ABS, and the
factory AM/FM/CD stereo. You can even choose to replace the DVD
screen or give the A/C system a recharge/refresh/parts replacement.
We also love a good Excursion because it's one of the few vehicles
that has three full rows of seating and still has plenty of room
left in the cargo area for all your gear. It makes for a terrific
SUV for everything from tailgating to big road trips.
Under the hood is Ford's optional 6.8-liter Triton V10. It's a true
powerhouse amongst gas engines. In fact, a version of this found a
home in trucks that were strictly commercial grade. So you know it
provides the power you want when it's time to carry people and
their gear near or far. And that's the right kind of torque needed
for this 4x4 to get down to serious off-road work, too. But don't
forget that this mega motor is also a modern fuel-injected setup.
So it fires up and runs with an eager attitude. The engine inhales
deeper with a cold air intake, and the cat-delete exhaust lets it
exhale with added freedom and thunder. This Excursion has an
overall usability because it was given excellent features from day
one, like four-wheel power disc brakes, power steering, cruise
control, and a four-speed automatic transmission with
highway-friendly overdrive.
The Excursion was all about offering you more. It had more space,
power, presence, and versatility than the other guys had. The only
thing less about this one is the price. Call today!!!
