Vehicle Description
The 2009 Pontiac G8 GT brought back the heritage of powerful V8
Pontiac performance sedans. Unfortunately, that legacy was cut
short with only an undersized production run. So now is a rare
opportunity at a one-owner instant-classic that is loaded with all
the best modern features. And just in case you need any more
motivation, this well-documented Pontiac is made even more special
with a supercharger on top of its L76 V8 to deliver a
516-horsepower super-sedan.
The moment the G8 hit the scene, we all knew it was built for
performance. Twin hood scoops, fender vents, and a body kit direct
from the factory give this the look of a Trans Am or Formula
Firebird. So this kind of aggression looks terrific finished in a
dark but radiant Magnetic Gray Metallic. And because the G8 has
been understood to be a rare and interesting car for so long, it
has been treated with the kind of respect where the body panels fit
with distinction to make sure this factory paint has the ideal
shiny and smooth canvas. The reason for the G8 being a rarity is
that they were expensive to produce, where there were only siblings
with Australia's Holden. The Australians always seem to be a bit
more European in their tastes, and so the clean lines and clear
headlights make this a bit more like a BMW or Mercedes. But the
polished quad exhaust tips, rear spoiler, and optional 19-inch
alloys are part of the more aggressive Aussie style that fits well
with a classic American. And sporty intimidation is further earned
when you see what's under the hood (more on that in a moment.)
The interior continues the look of a sporty sedan that has also
been cared for correctly. We love the look of the optional leather
seats with red inserts that give this added aggression and a nice
focal point in the clean black darkness. The front ones are even
heated and power adjust. There's more to this premium packaging,
including dual-zone automatic climate control, a power sunroof,
power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, power mirrors,
dual airbags, side airbags, cruise control, and a premium Blaupunkt
stereo system. This has the kind of space to be the family car. But
once you grip the leather-wrapped sports steering wheel and see
those crisp gauges dance, you realize this sensible sedan is a pure
driver's machine.
Under the hood is what makes the GT version so special. The L76
6.0-liter V8 is a true modern marvel of power and this car takes
that appeal up to a whole new level with a Magnuson supercharger
placed on top. Proper tuning and an upgraded header-fed exhaust
really maximize this Pontiac's M5-beating potential. In fact, we
have a dyno sheet showing as much as a 42 percent total jump in
horsepower over stock! More than just powerful, this is a solid
all-around driver. The six-speed automatic transmission helps with
this by having enough gears to balance overdrive cruising and
speedy getaways. Power steering, four-wheel disc brakes (w/ABS), a
fully independent suspension, and grippy ZR-rated tires complete
this modern package for serious drivers.
Because this car is both a collectible and a custom, it also comes
with the right paperwork. This includes the original window
sticker, owner's manual packet, maintenance records, and the
impressive dyno sheets. This is the car that drives like a BMW but
gets respected like a GTO. So you may never find another one so
well-done and so affordable ever again. Call today!!!
