performance regular cab � ton truck has had so many upgrades over
the years it was in production. And 2003 was one exceptional time,
as this unit came with a Supercharged 5.4 liter V-8, providing a
lethal 380 horsepower (with a two-valve SOHC head), despite having
a regular cab, short-bed pickup structure. They also gave it a
fresh suspension tuning, with the vehicle's payload being rated at
1350 lbs. Coupled with a 4-speed automatic transmission and limited
slip rear end, you can cruise or be the mack daddy when it comes to
being really quick and fast....like sub 14 second � mile times.
And the nice thing about the design was loading it up with power
windows, power locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, power driver's
seat, ice cold air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, and
the list goes on. This is one smooth, good looking unit. Beautiful
white exterior paint shines day and night, and the interior, in
light gray with black accent is luxury waiting to be used. And
other upgrades include a Kenwood Excelon Bluetooth Monitor with DVD
and backup camera, and an aftermarket hard tonneau cover.
Also in 2003, all Lightning came with re-designed 5 spoke chrome
custom wheels, and a noise control package, which is why F150's are
much quieter than their counterparts. All in all, with less than
73,000 miles, 2 owners (2nd owner since 2004), clean Carfax, and so
well maintained, it is the one to latch on to now.
