Vehicle Description
The Chevrolet Chevelle is one of the most renowned nameplates in
automotive history, and there aren't too many of those Chevelles
that can match up to the legendary status of the 1970 Chevrolet
Chevelle SS 454. That's right, on the showroom floor now is this
authentic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS LS-5 454, complete with a
numbers-matching powerplant and an aggressive stance to match.
Propelled by the aforementioned numbers-matching LS-5 454 C.I. V8,
this Chevelle was rated conservatively from the factory at 375hp,
while dyno testing showed that it actually punches well north of
400. Pop the hood and you'll find a correct cowl induction system
that's cleanly integrated into a finished, satin-black frame. At
the center of that frame, a correctly decaled chrome air cleaner
forces oxygen into a Holley 4-barrel carburetor for maximum
performance. Behind that hot LS-5 lies a reliable TH400 3-speed
automatic transmission, which puts torque to the pavement by
shifting nice and smooth. The exterior "Fathom Blue" paint looks
fantastic matched to the black rally stripes, and it's all been
buffed to a brilliant shine over a body that's rock-solid and
extremely straight. Opening the twin doors reveals a beautiful
black vinyl interior with comfy "Tuck & Roll" patterned bucket
seats, accompanied by a full center console and an attractive
horseshoe shifter! This mythical Chevelle comes with plenty of
options, including power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes,
MSD spark plugs, functional cowl induction, aftermarket headers,
factory gauges & tachometer, a tilt steering column, a full center
console, a horseshoe shifter, a vintage-style AM/FM digital radio,
an original working clock, and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust
system. The car rides on some chrome 14" Magnum 500 wheels over
slick Cooper Cobra RWL tires for a look straight out of 1970! With
a timeless appearance, a killer powertrain, and a beautiful
interior, this 1970 Chevelle SS commands respect. It runs and
drives even better than it looks, which is saying something because
this particular Chevelle looks like a dream. If you're looking for
the opportunity to own an example of one of the most legendary
muscle cars ever produced, you can't do much better than this.
