Vehicle Description
This 1985 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 is a stylish and stock classic that
offers a great color combo, numbers-matching V8 power, an overdrive
transmission, T-tops, and a loaded A/C interior. It makes for a
well-done package that's even more attractive thanks to the
affordable price.
This is an early 3rd gen coupe, and so it has a cleaner look that
really shows off the game-changing body lines. The crisp design has
a sharp edge style that makes these Camaros look quite
authoritative. The low odometer is believed to represent the full
mileage, and this less-use and well-respected feeling is also
reflected in the good condition of the body panels. It also helps
that it was done in a commanding shade of maroon (it's like a
matured red.) It's a quality respray that looks good against the
darker elements like the Z/28's intimidating hood scoop trim,
blacked-out headlight buckets, and the lower portion of the
multi-color rocker stripes package that encircles the car. And
speaking of that lower section, these really do look sharp with the
Z/28's factory body kit finished in silver. It makes for a nice
coordination with the clean 15-inch factory wheels.
The interior has a very stock style, and it's very impressive. The
velour upholstery has a terrific soft feel, and your seat even
power adjusts to the ideal driving position. The sports steering
wheel is on a tilt column, and so it gives you a good view of the
full gauge package. It's also loaded with the best features, like
power windows, power locks, power mirrors, cruise control, and the
premium Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo. You'll even appreciate the
little things, like the working dome light and T-top storage bags.
This glass roof T-top option lets you share the preserved interior
package with the world, and upgrading the factory air conditioning
to R134a refrigerant means you stay cool while doing it.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 305 cubic-inch V8. This was
one of the final years for the four-barrel carburetor, and some
people especially seek them out because they are always ripe for
plenty of affordable power upgrades. But on a car with such a nice
stock style, it's refreshing to see this so stock and correct.
These motors are already quite impressive for their off-the-line
torque, and when you add power steering, power brakes, front discs,
and a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly
overdrive, you get a classic that's easy to drive near or far.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual, promotional
literature, a dash cover, and maintenance records. This Z/28 is a
loaded V8 classic with the best in 3rd gen style. So don't miss
