Vehicle Description
This 1987 Buick Grand National is for the collector that's also a
driver. After all, when a legend like this is the right mixture of
sleek, loaded, powerful, and iconic, you can understand how this is
all-around desirable
The Buick Regal's conservative looks were transformed into
something sharp and powerful once the Grand National's full
midnight package was applied. It's an important distinction because
this black was given a quality respray to retain a good shine
today. So you can crisply see all the sporty style you love, like
the power bulge in the hood, integrated full-width rear spoiler,
and bright factory wheels with the proper Grand National logo
center caps. In fact, the respect for this one is even seen in the
details, like the good glass, well-fitting panels, and newer
headlights and tail lights.
The correct black and gray bucket seats up front do a terrific job
of balancing out the Buick's comfortable image with extra
bolstering for the Grand National's added performance. Plus, the
exceptional condition of these original-style seats, door panels,
and headliner lets you know this has been given the right care and
investments. So while it's unknown if the odometer reflects the
total mileage, the full presentation suggests the kind of deep
respect that makes for a terrific classic. As a true high-end
Buick, this comes loaded with all the best features. It includes
power windows, power locks, power steering, cruise control, and
cold-blowing air conditioning (now running modern R134a
refrigerant.). There have even been a few well-placed upgrades. The
armrest center console with cup holders is color-coordinated, and
the stereo has been upgraded to a more modern AM/FM/CD stereo unit,
but it looks correctly in place because it's a Delco unit. The
three-spoke steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column. It has a
design to give you an excellent view of the factory digital gauges
- a cool option we don't see too often.
The engine bay's presentation is so well done that you even have
the correct hood insulator that helps announce this special motor
when you open it up at the car shows. When people peek inside,
they'll see an extra tidy presentation of the 3.8-liter
turbocharged V6. This boosted motor helps the Grand National live
up to its mean-machine looks. These were known to be contenders to
beat out GM's top-dog Corvette. Plus, features like front disc
brakes, sway bars front & rear, new shocks, and a limited-slip rear
end make sure this handles as a proper turbocharged sports machine
should. But remember, the four-speed automatic transmission is not
only there for quick shifting action but also for overdrive
comfort.
This is an ultra-desirable presentation on an ultra-desirable
Buick. So when you want to both collect and enjoy a Grand Nation,
this is the one that needs to be in your garage. Call today!!!
