Crown Concepts LLC., located in Tucson, Arizona, is excited to have
this remarkable frame off restored 1954 Ford Crestline Sunliner,
NOW PRICED BELOW APPRAISED VALUE! Ford gave their cars a facelift
in 1952 but they still had some resemblance to the previous years.
The Crestline nameplate was introduced and was considered the top
of the line in Ford's range. This 1954 is a beautiful customized
car and being a convertible they were appropriately named the
Crestline Sunliner. The body is very solid and all rust free. It is
painted in a Brilliant Red paint that was originally an Audi color.
It contrasts nicely with a power Tan canvas convertible top that
has a custom made tonneau cover to put in place when it's down. The
front and rear bumpers are nicely chromed and have a very nice
shine for a great look. The car has some very subtle customizations
throughout which all work together to create a great look. The side
trim came off a 50's Mercury and looks right at home. The doors
originally had right angles which have instead been rounded and the
car has also been nosed/decked to create a very slick clean
exterior. All of the lights are working correctly and in back 1953
Ford lights have been added. The car sits on a very nice set of
custom wheels from a 2007 Mustang and is slightly lowered.
Powered by a 1994 5.0L H.O. fuel injected motor,this car is an
excellent driver and very road worthy. The injection set up is all
polished out, so in addition to running great, it is definitely
something you are going to want to show off. With the Aluminum
radiator and electric fans, you can enjoy the ride without worrying
about overheating, even in a parade. The bracketing is all from
Street & Performance and also braided lines were used throughout.
The 4 speed automatic overdrive transmission is out of a Mustang
and sends power back to the heavy duty rear end which came out of a
Ford Ranger. The suspension was all rebuilt during the restoration
and Fatman disc brakes added up front as well as lowered spindles.
With the power brakes and power steering, along with Vintage AC,
you will be driving a comfortable car around.
The custom interior was completely redone in a high grade Tan
leather which matches the top. It also has very nice square weave
carpeting and all of it is in excellent condition. The dash is
painted to match and combines a very nice combo of originality with
some modifications. The adjustable AC vents were inset into the
dash and additional gauges also added. The polished tilt column is
topped off with a great looking leather wrapped steering wheel.
Even subtle things like having the top frame and mechanical pieces
painted Tan to blend in. The trunk is also cleanly finished out in
matching leather and is in great condition.
We feel this is a very well built car and every component was
professionally done. Not many of these Fords are built in such a
way, and this one being a convertible Sunliner makes it pretty
desirable. It will win trophies and get you to and from the show
with comfort and modern performance. A true winner in every sense
of the word.
