For Sale: 1966 Shelby GT350 in Palmetto, Florida

Vehicle Description

1966 Ford Mustang Fastback Shelby GT350H Tribute

Why This Vehicle is Special

The first generation Mustangs created a whole new type of car that America was waiting for, the Pony Car. It had styling with a long hood and short deck, was sporty, and was in the buying range that a lot of people, both young and old could buy.

Top of the performance Mustangs back then were the famous Shelby Mustangs and even rarer were the Hertz Rental Mustangs that now command a six-figure price if you can find one for sale.

We have a more affordable option here at Skyway Classics today, a real K-Code VIN number restored 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback Shelby GT350H Tribute with a 1970 Windsor 351 cubic inch stamped C90E-6015B.

When you see this Mustang you will see the shiny black paint with the metallic gold GT350H side stripping and badging with the hood scoop with hood pins, 5-spoke chrome wheels, and a dual exhaust system peering out of the rear.

Mechanical

The restored engine in our Mustang is a 351 cubic inch V8 with plenty of horsepower from the factory and looks great with the Ford blue paint on the engine block, heads, has an aluminum intake, Holley 4-barrel, aluminum Cobra finned valve covers, chrome lid on the open-air cleaner assembly, tubular exhaust headers, performance spark plug wires, and modified electronics.

It is mated to an automatic transmission and has Power Steering and brakes and sits in the clean and detailed engine compartment looking just as it would have back in that period with a great sound emanating from the rear tips of the dual exhaust system.

Interior

The interior is all restored and looks as nice as it did when it was brand new. It has the factory twin black Mustang vinyl buckets up front and the matching rear seat, dash, carpet, floor mats, and door panels.

Some neat attributes of the interior are the wood steering wheel, chrome shifter on the floor, pull down back seat, custom cobra tachometer, factory black dash and instrument panel that has all the factory gauges and features a 140-mph speedometer.

The trunk has also been given a factory look with the factory correct trunk mat too.

Exterior

Our Mustang has that shiny black paint with the metallic gold full length racing stripes from the lower front all the way to the top of the rear bumper, GT350H side stripping and badging with the hood scoop with hood pins, blacked out grille, and out back the unique fuel filler cap on the panel between the tail lamps, with dual exhaust exiting underneath.

Our Mustang rides on the chrome Hertz-style 5-spoke wheels with the reproduction raised white letter Firestone Wide O Oval Tires with this wheel and tire combination totally giving it the classic Shelby Hertz pony car look.
