We will start off with the exterior of this Corvette. The body on
it is laser straight down the sides and features some of the best
fit you will find on a C2. All the gaps are even and symmetrical
and it has a great fit of the doors and hood. The body is showcased
in the factory Goldwood Yellow paint that has been redone in Base
Coat Clear Coat. Countless hours have been spent sanding, buffing,
and polishing it to a stunning finish that's slick as a ribbon. The
yellow is accented by a new black convertible top that was
installed at the time of the restoration. We can see that all the
Chrome and Stainless is equally impressive and from front to back.
This L79 is set off by the ever-iconic side pipes that sound
amazing along with giving it that iconic look. To finish off the
stance it's sitting on the knock off style wheels with Gold Line
Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this '65. The interior of it
is also done in the factory option of Black. We can see that both
bucket seats were redone at the time of the restoration and that
all of the padding is excellent. Also, new carpet and weather
stripping was installed along with new door panels that offer the
standard option crank windows that work as they should. The rear
cargo area is all very nice as well. Looking at the dash we can see
that it is all equally impressive. The Gauges are beautiful and are
all working as they should. It even has a working factory style
radio and working power antenna. To finish off the interior is
sporting the woodgrain steering wheel.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the
hood everything has stunning details that are a testament to the
quality of the restoration. All the inner fenders are beautiful,
and we can see the detail right down to the components being marked
to replicate factory and it even has the GM styled hoses and tower
clamps. The power comes from the Matching Numbers L79 327/350 HP
engine. The 327 is set up with the Winters 3844461 Intake and
correct 3849804 Holley Carb. It has a 1100693 Alternator and the
11111076 Distributor. It's dressed in the factory air cleaner along
with having the factory finned aluminum valve covers with the 350
Horsepower Badges. The 327 is mated to the Muncie Four Speed Trans
and Stock Rear. When we look under it, we can see that the floors
are all in phenomenal condition. They did an excellent job with the
frame off restoration and all the bushings are in great shape. We
can also see the same detail was used as the components have been
marked to replicate how they would have been done when built new.
