Vehicle Description
1983 Dodge Ramcharger - 5.2L V8 - Automatic Transmission - 4x4 -
Black Over Red Interior - 142k Miles (TMU) Garage Kept Motors is
very pleased to feature this rugged vintage SUV for the ORV fan.
This 1983 Dodge Ramcharger sports a lifted stance and all the
features that make for a real trailblazing 4-wheel drive for on or
off-road use. The black paint looks to be the original finish and
after 40 years is showing some expected patina however, the lower
panels have been treated with a rubberized rock chip guard. The
paint was treated to a recent buff and polish giving it a nice
luster but there are various scratches and chips throughout. The
body is solid with no indications of any rust damage. A tubular
luggage rack is mounted on the roof and features AUXBEAM LED
auxiliary lights. The front and rear chrome bumpers and related
body stainless and rearview mirrors have little if any patina and a
set of aftermarket fender flares accentuate the Oversized 33 Mickey
Thompson Baja MTZ tires mounted on vintage 15 slotted aluminum
wheels. Inside the cab has been treated to a cosmetic restoration
featuring new red cloth front and rear seat upholstery, carpet, and
carpeted floor mats embroidered with the Dodge Ramcharger logo. The
door panels and rear side panels show some age and wear but
overall, the interior presents as clean and complete. A
factory-simulated leather-wrapped 5-spoke alloy wheel sits atop a
tilt steering wheel framing the original gauge package which sits
in a wood grain dash panel. Other options include factory A/C and
AM/FM Stereo. Under the hood sits a 5.2-liter V8 that presents as
well-maintained with new coolant hoses and a recent ignition
tune-up. Power is transferred through a 3-speed 727 Torque-flite
Automatic transmission through the manual shifted transfer case to
the front Dana Axle with the front axle featuring manual lock-out
hubs and a rear Chrysler 9.25 rear differential. The chassis and
underbody look to have been undercoated and while a great deal of
it has worn off since applied, but it appears to have protected the
frame and floorboards from any rust through. The suspension has
been lifted using rear spring blocks and front shackles with
Skyjacker gas shocks. Braking is provided by power brakes with
front discs and rear drums and features power steering. The exhaust
rumbles nicely through a custom bent dual exhaust with Flowmaster
mufflers. This is a rugged-looking truck that is ready to help you
go out and explore a few two-tracks in the country or just battle
the potholes in the pavement on your commute to work. Please call
