Vehicle Description
1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Why This Car Is Special
The Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a performance-oriented option package of
the Ford Mustang, originally introduced by Ford in August 1968 as a
package for the 1969 model year. The Mach 1 title adorned
performance oriented Mustang offerings until the original
retirement of the moniker in 1978.
It is not often that you can find a high-end restoration on a 1972
Ford Mustang Mach 1 with the 351V engine all wrapped in a gorgeous
Bright Lime paint and black interior scheme. We have one here at
Skyway Classics.

Mechanical
This Mach 1 has the 351 cubic inch Cleveland engine that puts out
over 200 horses and looks factory correct with its blue painted
factory air cleaner, heads, and block, black finned 351 Cleveland
valve covers, aluminum intake, MSD ignition, tube headers, and dual
exhaust, with the engine sitting in the good looking and detailed
engine compartment and backed by the automatic transmission.
The fully painted fender walls and firewall do a fantastic job of
drawing attention to the big V8 nestled in the center and it rides
on 5-spoke mag wheels with black sidewall tires and disc brakes up
front.
Interior
Our 72 has a perfect black high-back sports bucket seat interior
and console with matching rear seats and panels, black carpet,
console with floor mounted chrome automatic shifter, pushbutton
radio, factory tach and gauges, Mustang steering wheel, and
needless to say when you see this Mach 1, the whole car needs
nothing and looks like it just came out of the showroom.
Exterior
Bright Lime follows in the great tradition of hot Mustangs in bold
colors. Ours looks great and there is no better way to showcase a
Mach 1 than with the flat black painted NACA ram air hood matches
the side hockey stick stripes, rear window slats, and rear
spoiler.
The whole package looks great on a body as straight and clean as
this one. It all looks factory correct down to the body-colored
front bumper and chrome rear bumper.
Conclusion
This 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 we have here at Skyway Classics is an
attention getting, top of the line example of a Mustang as you can
get. Bright Lime with black interior with a 351 and the Ram Air
Hood and stripes is about as mean a look in a muscle car as you can
get.
