This custom 1981 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler had a frame-off restoration.
Since the restoration it has less than 1,700 miles but has received
two rubber ducks. Finished in Mint Green with custom-painted
SCRAMBER graphics and new fender flares, this Jeep is powered by a
2000 XJ rebuilt 4.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with Fass EFI fuel
injection, a 4-inch stainless cold-air intake and CB Performance
radiator with a brushless SPAL fan. The 5-speed manual transmission
was rebuilt, along with the transfer case. It has 4.88 gears with
Eaton Truetrac in the rear and mechanical lockers in the front. It
also has heavy-duty steering linkage with a tilt wheel. It has new
brakes, wheel bearings and shocks, along with front reverse shackle
and YJ leaf springs on all four corners and a custom exhaust with a
new muffler. There is a Crawler Enduro 20-gallon fuel tank with
added skid plate and an internal electronic fuel pump. All-new body
mounts and hardware were added, as well as a new Painless wiring
kit. The interior features all-new Dakota Digital gauges and a
stereo. The seats are suspension bucket seats with original Jeep
tilt-entry and rear bench, upholstered in gray marine vinyl. There
is rubberized coating inside and out, along with Dynamat and jute
carpet padding with new black carpet, as well as all-new door and
window seals. It also has a new Jeep Air system to keep things
cool. This Jeep has a sheet-metal Rock Hard bumper front and rear
with a Smittybilt winch and nylon cable, as well as a heavy-duty
spare-tire carrier made by Rock Hard with a mounted Hi-Lift jack.
It is also equipped with all LED lights; the front lights are LED
projector high and low beams, and it also has ACRO HID off-road
lights and side amber LED pods. This Jeep rides on BFGoodrich
31x10.50R15 tires with Alcoa polished wheels. There is both a
hardtop and new Bestop soft-top. Towing is easy with a StowMaster
tow bar. CARFAX shows damage report on 04/03/2019: Accident
