For Sale: 1984 Toyota Pickup in Lithia Springs, Georgia
Here's a shining example of the pickup we all wanted at one time,
and that's exactly why you stopped to look at this 1984 Toyota
Pickup Xtra Cab 4x4. And as you start to discover how this one has
everything you want, right down to an A/C interior, you know it's
time to get excited.
This truck looks like it was taken care of like a member of the
family, and that's for a very good reason. The consignor purchased
this truck over 20 years ago as his first vehicle, and this came
from his sister. In fact, it's believed she bought it from the
original owner. So it has spent the majority of its life in one
family tree, and it has only been a part of one other family (until
you welcome it into yours.) That history is important here because
while we'd all like our first car back this one never left the
consignor's family tree. So when his nostalgia kicked in, it was
easy to make a solid investment in time and money to get it looking
great. The respray in red happened in about 2018, and it retains
the kind of good gloss today where you can really see the clean
lines of the well-respected body. Plus, everything from the white
wagon wheels to the big mud guards is likely to get your nostalgia
going, too. And while it has been a long time since this was a
daily driver or real worker, the large steel rear step bumper and
full liner paint in the bed remind you that a tough Toyota can
always be ready to earn its keep.
The interior looks exceptionally clean and stylish. We especially
love the newer low-back bucket seats that have an intricate
two-tone that coordinates with the door panels and smooth dash. And
the bucket seats seem right when the position of the factory
steering wheel and gearshift have a bit of a sporty feeling. There
are nice updates like the AM/FM/CD stereo and cold-blowing R134a
air conditioning. Just like the exterior, there are the right
work-ready features, like the vinyl floor that's great for the days
you're wearing your boots. And this is a desirable Xtra Cab model
that gives a nice rear space for added storage and extra reclining
for your seat.
Under the hood is what makes these Toyota pickups so desirable. The
2.4-liter 22R motor is the backbone on which Toyota has built their
reputation for reliability. And the moment you see this motor, you
can see the honest, clean, and maintained style that upholds that
hardy status. Plus, the way this one fires up and runs reaffirms
the everlasting nature of a well-maintained Toyota truck. Best of
all, the five-speed manual transmission gives you full control.
This restored classic can also be used for plenty of fun with a
two-speed transfer case and tall 4x4 stance. And the power brakes
w/discs up front make it easy to run around town or the trail.
We all love these robust Toyota pickups, but this one has the added
appeal of being shown that love with long-term care and the proper
investments. So you just know it's that handy classic that's an
all-around fun cruiser from day one. Call today!!!
