Fully sorted and ready to roll, this polished pickup is the beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up restoration that mixed head-turning poise with proven athleticism. All that lovable charm was carefully sealed in a rich maroon two-stage. And today, the truck rolls as unique but familiar street rod art that's easy to live with and even easier to look at! The exhibit kicks off with a polished bumper, which guards a polished grille that's centered between small parking lamps, stainless-trimmed headlights and a mirrored “GMC” header. A long bonnet, pointed with a flashy 'cow tongue' Accessory Hood Ornament, fronts a stainless-trimmed, five-window cab. That glass, cleared by polished wipers and reflected in polished mirrors, caps a simplistic profile, which stacks textured running boards beneath factory door handles and contoured nail guards. Behind those handles, a clean Teak bed secures polished skid strips next to a billet fuel filler. And behind that filler, LED taillights join stylish reverse lamps to light a custom roll pan and a stamped GMC tailgate.

SMALL BLOCK POWER
Pop the hood and you'll find 350 cubic inches of proven Chevy small block that's rebuilt, dressed and ready to roll. A billet air cleaner feeds a coated Holley 4-barrel that's paired to a spry electric choke. That carb feeds a coated Edelbrock intake, which looks great between billet breathers and billet valve covers. The fires get lit by a hot HEI distributor, which sparks loomed Taylor plug wires. Spent gases fall through coated block hugger headers. At the front of those tubes, a billet serpentine drive spins a polished alternator over a polished AC compressor and a polished Weiand water pump. At the front of those ancillaries, a lightweight aluminum radiator pairs a polished expansion tank with a large electric puller fan. And details like maroon block paint, a color-keyed power steering pump, a polished oil pan and trick dipsticks mix first-rate looks with first-rate functionality.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
Slide under this rig and you'll find a clean, road ready undercarriage that's founded on a thoughtfully modified chassis. At the front of those body-matched bones, a trusty Mustang II-style suspension frames power rack-and-pinion steering with polished, tubular control arms. Opposite that clip, a stainless-trimmed 10-bolt axle, traced by a sturdy sway bar, pushes factory leaf springs. That pumpkin twists thanks to a dressed Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed. Momentum gets countered by a floor-mount brake booster, which pushes power to two discs and two drums.

COOL IN CONTRAST
Between the doors, custom-upholstered hi-back buckets definitely up the style quotient. A customized dash hangs billet pedals and controls for modern air conditioning beneath classy stainless trim and clean Classic Instruments telemetry. That dash flows into a small console, which centers modern Kenwood audio in front of a tall Lokar shifter. Custom door panels front power-operated windows. And the driver spins a wood-rimmed steering wheel around a tilting column.
Polished, sorted and ready to roll, this pickup is primed for years of enjoyment. It's the perfect buy for any enthusiast who's looking to enjoy vintage while keeping an eye on drivability
