Vehicle Description
When you hear the word "Streetrod" does it bring up thoughts of
cruising down the road on a warm summer night or attending car
shows with your buddies? If so, then we have the Streetrod for
you!
This 1936 Chevrolet Deluxe has been treated to meticulous hand
formed body work from front to back and top to bottom. Just look at
the pictures of this beautiful old school hot rod build, a
sculptured creation that drives as good as it looks.
Starting with an all-steel body, the top has been chopped 3" and
the roof moved forward 2" into the A pillar. The long sleek forward
tilting hood was hand crafted by the builder as was the custom
front grill. Adding to the overall look, the rear fender openings
were arched upward five inches to the rear windows.
The body sits on a hand built custom frame that was pinched four
inches in the front and narrowed so the body could be lowered six
inches over the frame. Overall wheelbase was shortened from 109" to
106 1/2".
Now for the power, a big block 396 that has been bored to 402 cubic
inches with dual quads on top. Comp Cams supplied the camshaft that
gives this motor some extra horsepower. Backing up that Chevy big
block is a rebuilt Turbo 350 automatic that was treated to all
heavy-duty parts during the build. Outback is a 10-bolt rear end
with 3.23 Eaton limited slip and new 28 splines axles.
The interior is all hand stitched red leather, and the air
conditioning will keep you cool while listening to the Kenwood KMM
BT 315U stereo radio.
There is no doubt that when you drive into the car show, you will
have one of the most unique cars in attendance.
