The Oldsmobile 4-4-2 (also known as the 442) is a muscle car
produced by Oldsmobile between the 1964 and 1980 model years.
introduced as an option package for us-sold F-85 and Cutlass
models. The "4-4-2" name derives from the original car's
four-barrel carburetor, four-speed manual transmission, and dual
exhausts.
The 442 we have here at Skyway is a "real" 442, not a clone or
tribute car like you see on a lot of other national sites.
It has the original 442 engine, 4-speed manual transmission,
Factory AM/FM radio, Power brakes, factory bucket seats, and the
rare manifold Vacuum Gauge on center console.

block, heads, and intake painted in the correct Oldsmobile gold,
with correct hoses, power steering, power brakes, factory cast iron
exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust, factory original chrome air
cleaner assembly with the 442 decal on top, in the very original
factory looking engine compartment.
A 4-speed manual transmission handles the shifting duties with the
chrome shifter while it rides on the Oldsmobile factory type Magnum
500 wheels and Redline tires.
Interior
The original black interior is stock and in great shape and
features a front twin bucket seats, matching rear seat, and
matching door panels, black carpet and floor mats, factory dash
with all the original gauges and controls, factory pushbutton radio
still remains, 4-speed manual transmission shifter and white
shifter ball, Factory AM/FM radio, and the rare manifold Vacuum
Gauge on center console.
Everything looking like the time capsule that it really is with
even the trunk that looks equally original with the mat, and full
size spare tire.
Exterior
Our 442 has the original maroon paint accented by the black
convertible top that is in great shape.
It has the bulging quarter panels, sparse bright work, chrome front
and rear bumpers, and 4 headlight look that will confirm that this
isn't your grandfather's Oldsmobile.
This is a muscle car, a real 442 with great badging and looks and
it certainly has the great sound of 442 power with the dual
exhausts sticking out the back too.
Conclusion
This real and original 1966 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible have here at
Skyway Classics is very original and not a clone or tribute car
like you see on a lot of other national sites. It is a time-capsule
type of 442 that you will rarely ever find.
