For Sale: 1972 GMC 1 Ton Flatbed in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

A restomod is all about integrating added comfort and function in a classic. That's why this 1967 Chevrolet C10 still has small block power, but now with fuel injection and the control of a five-speed. It's also why the classic paint and houndstooth interior look fresh and clean. Plus, other upgrades like air conditioning and four-wheel disc brakes are subtly added to make sure this is the classic-looking Chevy that you'll want to drive every day.

The paint sets the right tone for this truck. Hugger Orange is a great Chevy muscle car color, but the white roof and white tailgate lettering are pure pickup charm. And it all has the clean and sleek look of a quality respray done during the restoration. So the truck has the right look of vintage and upgraded all in the same glance. That's why the classic chrome bumpers, clean body lines, and liner paint in the useful bed are just a good reminder of a solid pickup. But those modern US Mags 17-inch alloys on the lowered stance are an instant signal of an updated cruiser. It has all been a labor of love for the consignor who started this project in 2011. He's done everything from relocating the gas tank under the bed to replacing the full cab (that's why the pickup's VIN will come back as a GMC on this Chevy.) He built it right where the 19k miles on the odometer reflect the usefulness of this pickup - including three Power Tours! So it's built to be driven, and we bet that has some of you thinking about what it would look like parked next to the sedate Range Rovers in the commuter corporate parking lot.

The interior shows off another great piece that reminds us of power Chevys: the houndstooth cloth. But while these were popular for the 1960s Camaros, it's also at home in this 1960s C10. This joins the newer door panels, smooth dash, newer floor cover, and clean headliner for an inviting style. You have plenty of well-integrated upgrades, like cold-blowing air conditioning, a retro-style AM/FM radio, and one-piece side window glass. And there's a proper driver's experience with a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, power steering, floor shifter with a cool orange 5-ball topper, and a full set of Classic Instrument readouts with a handy tach in the middle.

Under the hood is classic Chevy small block power, but this 350 cubic-inch V8 has the center bolt valve covers of the later Vortec motor. It inhales deeply with a fresh air intake, and the headers let this exhale with added power and authority into the H-pipe dual exhaust. Plus, the Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection is the key to giving this the right level of power and consistency to be a great all-around driver. But more than just a powerful and steadfast heart, the full upgrades were all about giving this an anytime level of useful appeal. The five-speed manual transmission gives you proper control over the power, including overdrive comfort for the highway. This feeds into a stout 12-bolt rear end with Positraction and versatile 3.73 gears. The suspension includes upgrades like four-wheel power disc brakes, modern Toyo tires, and sway bars front & rear.

Complete with restoration photos, this C10 was carefully restored to give you fuel-injected power, a comfortable A/C interior, a vibrant style, and an all-around awesome driving experience. So you know this stunner deserves the prime spot in your garage. Call today!!!
