This 1981 Volkswagen Vanagaon B32 re-creation is powered by a 227hp
3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine from a 1986 Porsche Carrera, paired
with a G50 5-speed manual transmission. The engine and transmission
have resided in this Vanagon since 1992 and had 92,300 miles at the
time of installation. The engine was rebuilt in 2005 at 233,300
miles, and currently has just over 100,000 miles since that
rebuild. It was refinished in 2005 in a Volkswagen-derived Bright
Yellow. In 2019 the Vanagon was fitted with a brown and tweed
custom interior. This van has resided in California its entire life
and has a California BAR Referee certificate and sticker, which
makes it able to be registered and operated in California with the
Porsche-derived 3.2-liter 6-cylinder engine swap. The tow hitch is
functional, and for a period was used to tow a Porsche 911 race car
to track days. CARFAX shows damage report on 05/12/2012: Accident
reported, vehicle involved in a rear-end collision, airbags did not
deploy. ** PREVIEW
