Vehicle Description
Oh man.....A rust free first generation Tacoma 4x4 is something
dreams are made of. Toyota has been building dependable off-road
trucks for a long time, but beginning in 1995 they re-branded the
small truck the Tacoma and the first generation would be built
until 2005. The Tacoma has received numerous awards throughout the
years including Motor Trends "Truck of The Year" in 2005. Not to
mention you see 20 year old Toyotas in every corner of the world
all with several hundred thousand miles still rolling strong. The
name "Tacoma" was derived from the Coast Salish Peoples name for
Mount Ranier in Washington State. If you are looking at this truck
then you probably know what you are looking at or atleast you want
one. This Unit comes from the dry West and it shows. Besides having
normal wear and tear like scratches and stone chips and mild
blemishes this Tacomas body is rust free and even the underside and
yes including the frame is largely free of rust with only some
surface rust in spots. Furthermore this is the highly sought after
4-cylinder with 5-speed manual variant that has less than 175k
miles on the clock....Has no dummy lights on the dash, the A/C
blows cold and power windows, lights and gauges all work. The
brakes are good with OK tires. If I would do anything after
purchase it would be tires. (Priced Accordingly). From my research,
Mystic purple is very rare being made only 1998 and 1999 in the
Tacoma. Some chat rooms have indicated it is one of the rarest
colors out of any Tacomas to date. These trucks are hard to find in
this condition set up the way this one is.
