Vehicle Description
CPR Classic is delighted to offer this 1973 Porsche 911S Coupe
finished in Irish Green over a black leather interior. This example
remains numbers matching including its engine, gearbox, and color
combination and benefits from recent refresh and upgrade work.
This 911S was appointed nicely with the following options:
-Koni Dampers
-Air Conditioner w/ Crashbar for Front Condenser
-Blaupunkt Radio
-Tinted Glass All-Around
-Dunlop Tires
This 911S first came to CPR via trade-in for another 911. It
arrived as a solid driver requiring some cosmetic and mechanical
reconditioning. CPR began preparation on the car by removing the
drivetrain and disassembling the car's suspension.
The engine received a major service, including a valve adjustment,
new spark plugs, and all new belts and hoses. We installed a new
clutch kit and flywheel and overhauled the car's shift linkage. The
gearbox received a detailed cleaning and gasket kit before
reinstallation.
We elected to repaint the front to address rock chips and blemishes
it had collected over the years. Following paint, CPR reassembled
the car with all-new exterior components, including H4 headlights
and new front and rear corner lenses. CPR deleted the front bumper
guards, and replaced the rear bumper guards with earlier chrome
examples. We replaced the bumper decos and rocker moldings with new
units. The car also received a complete new seal kit including door
seals, hood, and decklid seals. Al Reed restored the wheels, which
wear a set of 2019-dated 185/70R15 Pirelli P6000 tires.
Following completion of the above work, the car was sent to
Autobahn Interiors in San Diego, California where a new black
leather interior was installed at a cost of over $10,000. We
elected to add houndstooth inserts to the front seats during the
process.
A new battery was installed and the clock was rebuilt by Palo Alto
Speedometer.
An Xpel clear bra covering the hood, both fenders, and the front
bumper was professionally installed on the car for added
protection. Upon completion of the clear bra, the car sold to a
long-time CPR client.
Before delivery to the most recent owner, CPR upgraded the original
factory air conditioning to an R134 kit, comprising a new
compressor, condenser, dryer, new a/c lines, and a new dash
register. The system works outstanding and blows ice-cold air even
in hot conditions.
CPR also installed a Porsche Classic Radio with integrated
Bluetooth and navigation.
This lovely 911S spent the past year living in a collection in
Texas. It has been driven sparingly and was occasionally shown
locally but is ready for a new owner and a new locale.
The car is now offered by CPR one year removed from almost $30,000
in preparation work and is ready for immediate delivery to its next
lucky owner. If you are in the market for a turn-key late longhood
911S in a desirable color combination, this car is it.
