After 36 years of ownership, it is time to move on. This is a real Challenger T/A. It does not have numbers matching engine (it was gone when I bought the car in 1981) although it is a 340 block and heads. The body and suspension were finished in 1988. I rebuilt the engine in 2006 with a stroker kit; it is now 420 c.i.d. (I do have the original steel crankshaft for the engine), very strong, lots of torque. The original functional 6 Pak is on the engine. I installed a Keisler Tremec TKO 500 5 speed at the same time (I do have the original 4 speed for the car). The rear axle was rebuilt the same time I did the engine and trans; it has new 3.55 gears, bearings, seals and clutch type posi unit. Brake system was redone at the same time as the drivetrain in 2006. New tires in May 2007. I put new seat covers & foam on the front seats in August 2011. I do have some extra parts that will go with the car. This is a nice car, not perfect, good driver and shows well. I drove the car to the Mopar Nationals in August 2011 at high speeds and still got over 17 mpg. It is for sale or trade for a 2003 or newer Viper convertible with low miles.
