Vehicle Description
The Porsche Boxster is a mid-engine two-seater roadster. It was
Porsche's first road vehicle to be originally designed as a
roadster since the 914. The first-generation Boxster (the 986) was
introduced in late 1996; it was powered by a 2.5-litre flat
six-cylinder engine. In 2000, the base model was upgraded to a
2.7-litre engine and a new Boxster S variant was introduced with a
3.2-litre engine. Production of the 986 began at the former 928
facility in Stuttgart, Germany in 1996.The Boxster was Porsche's
biggest volume seller from its introduction in 1996 until the
introduction of the Cayenne sport utility vehicle in 2003. The
Boxster S presents a classic sports car visage that reminds us of
post-war Porsche Speedsters, yet it rides better, sounds better,
handles better and is substantially faster than a standard Boxster.
While the Boxster offers 217 horsepower and 192 foot-pounds of
torque, the S serves up 250 horsepower and 225 foot-pounds. The S
also comes with a six-speed gearbox in place of the Boxster's
5-speed, plus a headliner for the convertible top. Unlike the
rear-engine 911, the Boxster engine is mounted ahead of the rear
axle - rather than over the rear axle or behind it. This mid-engine
configuration yields superior handling and weight distribution.
This Porsche Boxster S is presented in rare Viola metallic paint
over black supple leather seats with a matching roll bar and hard
top. This is likely the lowest mile Boxster S you will find on the
market! The odometer reads just over 5000 miles & the car has been
very recently inspected and serviced. This rare, well optioned
Boxster S was owned by a single family and is in fantastic
condition. Can you see this in your garage? We offer finance,
