Handsomely restyled along with its A-body stablemates for 1970,
Chevrolet's El Camino offered all the performance, style and
comfort options the Chevelle and upmarket Malibu offered, with the
added utility of a spacious cargo bed. This custom 1970 Chevrolet
El Camino represents the high-performance end of the ledger, with
power delivered by an upgraded 427/425hp big-block V8 engine within
a detailed engine bay, mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission
and 12-bolt posi-traction rear end with highway-friendly 3.31
gears. Desirable features include a functional cowl-induction hood,
power front disc brakes, power steering, bucket seats, a console,
tilt steering column and power windows. Other highlights include a
tachometer and gauge package, as well as a rare fiber-optic warning
lamp monitoring windshield washer fluid level. Finished in Desert
Sand paint with a black vinyl roof covering, the El Camino is
topped off by black Rally stripes, hood pins, SS 5-spoke wheels and
BFGoodrich radial T/A tires.
