26,420 actual miles. This survivor looks like a restored show car!
It functions like new: the air is ice cold, the horns sound like a
train, its quiet as a mouse in slippers. The Fleetwood Sixty
Special Brougham was the epitome of Cadillac excellence. Its longer
wheelbase made for a roomy interior and a ride that felt like it
was on air.
EXTERIOR: The original metal is outstanding. No rust, damage,
dents, or scrapes. Original Willow paint is amazing considering
it's claimed to be original. I could only find a few insignificant
flaws. in great condition. It has a smooth, shiny finish. All the
chrome and trim are sparkling and straight. The original white
vinyl top is excellent. The glass is crystal clear. The original
weatherstrips and seals are still soft. Replaced dual stripe tires
look classy.
INTERIOR: It is practically like new throughout. It's like sitting
in 1st class, especially in back with the carpeted footrests. The
upholstery, plastic trim, carpet, headliner is like new. It's not
worn, stained, smelly, torn or cracked. All the interior lights
work, the Brougham has reading lights in back. It has original
floor mats. The dash area is mint. Seatbelts are like new. The
original owner's manuals are in the glovebox. It is full of power
accessories.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original condition and its clean. The big 472
V8 runs smooth and quiet. All the hoses, stickers and components
are in place. The horns sound like a freight train, the cruise
control works, washers are hooked up.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The power trunk release works. It looks brand
new! Under the trunk lid and jamb are mint. The wall-to-wall carpet
liner is mint. Original spare and jack are in place. An extra
hubcap and a new car cover is included.
UNDERSIDE: All original. Never had an aftermarket undercoat. Solid
with some surface rust.
This is one of the cleanest survivors I have ever seen! It
functions as good as it looks too.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to
assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are
answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video
that explains the car's condition in detail. **These cars are
displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car, make an
appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment
there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car,
your admission will be refunded, and you will be given a 1 year
membership.
