This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Coupe, finished in Goodwood
Green over a Black interior, represents the final year of the
acclaimed C2 model. The Sting Ray name (note that it is two words)
was first used on production Corvettes in 1963 to identify its C2
model. The name was drawn from the angular front-end restyle and as
a tribute to the XP-87 concept/development car. With its L71 engine
package and close-ratio four-speed manual transmission, this Big
Block Corvette was both feared and revered by street racers and
Dixie Drive-In Cruisers nationwide. After the completion of a total
restoration in 1990, this Sting Ray was awarded a Chapter Top
Flight Certificate by the National Corvette Restorers Society
(NCRS) achieving a judged score of 98.6. Having spent approximately
35 years in private collections, this Corvette was prepared for
road use approximately five years ago. That preparation involved a
full chassis service and carburetor restoration by Holley. Since
2021, this Sting Ray has seen limited use, while at the same time,
being fastidiously maintained. A complete tune-up was performed in
March of 2023 and it is an amazing driving 427.
Finished in a special ordered Goodwood Green exterior complemented
by louvered side gills, flip-up headlights, functional hood scoop
with bold '427' script, tinted windshield A02, factory-original N11
off-road exhaust system with GM-embossed mufflers, and Classic Red
Line tires mounted on reproduction N89 wheels with 'Starburst'
caps.
The black interior includes a U69 - AM/FM radio, K66 transistorized
ignition, manual 4-speed transmission, and a correct three-spoke
wooden steering wheel.

This C2 Sting Ray is powered by a L71, 427-cubic inch Tri-Power V8
engine rated by the factory at 435 HP with 460 lbs.-ft. torque.
Mated with a close-ratio, four-speed manual transmission (M21), and
Positraction 4.11 rear end, this Corvette may achieve performance
figures of 0-60 MPH in 4.7 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 13.6
seconds (105 MPH.)
