Vehicle Description
Someone finally did everything you wanted to do to a 1999 Plymouth
Prowler to make it as cool as you knew it always could be. Now this
well-dressed modern hot rod can be yours for a price far below what
its ultra-low mileage and all of its upgrades would suggest.
You can tell this one has always been someone's baby. Averaging
around 450 miles annually means this one only came out of the
garage for special occasions. That's why the Prowler Yellow
continues to have the kind of vibrant style that could let it glow
in the dark. But what makes this truly distinctive is how this one
has been upgraded in a few very key ways. Those production-mandated
bumpers have disappeared in the front and rear, and they have made
sure this showcases the improvement correctly. In the front, the
fender is also deleted so that you can get an even fuller view of
the upgraded polished suspension components. So now this Prowler
really does look like the custom street machines that inspired it.
In the rear, there's a custom lower panel that upgrades the
Prowler's smooth lines and makes the polished exhaust tips a true
focal point. Plus, while every Prowler was born with staggered
wheels for an intimidating stance, the upgrade to American Racing
Torq Thrust units gives this one extra shine and street cred.
The black roof looks terrific against a color like yellow, and the
way it fits combines with the windows to give you the kind of
insulation that no old-school hot rod ever could. But that's
because this was a premium Mopar offering. It's also why this looks
awesome with the top down. The dark charcoal gray leather interior
is well preserved so you can see all the premium features. Air
conditioning, a powerful AM/FM/cassette factory stereo w/CD
changer, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, and that
slick-shifting Auto-Stick transmission are part of the modern
luxury in this retro-cool car. In fact, a retro car also means
welcomed safety features like dual airbags and ABS. And while the
mileage is low, we bet you'll love adding to the odometer just
because it's such a driver's car. The exterior color-matched
instrument panel stands out boldly with great white-faced gauges in
place. And the AutoMeter tach on the tilt steering column is a nod
to the hot rod day where you wanted the best info prominently in
front of you.
The 1999 model year brought an upgrade to the 3.5-liter 24-valve
V6. With 253 horsepower and the lightweight nature of the Prowler,
this roadster moves quite nicely. It also starts instantly and
idles smoothly thanks to the modern fuel injection. Plus, the
four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive and power steering
combine to make this a fine anytime cruiser. When you want a little
more fun, the AutoStick has a manual mode that will really open up
the backroads. This lets you take full advantage of the fully
independent suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, Pirelli tires, and
the Prowler's near 50/50 weight distribution.
This is the kind of cool car that was a classic from day one. And
the upgrades have only enhanced the custom American spirit that
initially inspired the Prowler. So to find a low-mileage example
that has been both respected and understood is a true find at this
price. Call today!!!
