Coveted Front Engine V12 Ferrari, The Ultimate Period Grand
Tourer
At the time of its introduction, the 365 GT 2+2 represented
significant advances for Ferrari, particularly their 2+2 models.
The combination of independent suspension all around for the first
time on a 2+2 model and the new torque tube arrangement made the
cars quieter, more comfortable, and more capable than ever before.
The inclusion of additional convenience and luxury features further
enhanced the car's comfort, with standardized power steering and
air conditioning. The familiar front-mounted 4.4 liter V12 and
attractive Pininfarina styling ensured that the car retained all of
the traditional positive Ferrari traits, and authentic Ferrari
experience. In all, just 809 Queen Mothers were built, making these
cars quite rare as well.
13161 comes from 22 years of previous ownership and presents as an
ideal driver in an exceptional livery. Older paint is glossy, with
imperfections in areas - see photos. Correct, polished 15x7.5"
Borrani wire wheels complement with (x5) new and correct 215/70VR15
Michelin XWX tires (dated 2021). The interior is largely preserved,
with supplemental calico Coco mats. Air conditioning and power
windows are among the cabin features most revered with the Queen
Mother. Other interior equipment includes 4-place seat belts and
Blaupunkt radio.
The engine compartment's appearance is generally correct and
complete. The car's air conditioning blows cool, but not cold.
Engine 13161 revs easily and runs with pep. The right bank slightly
smokes at slow acceleration and warm idle.
A refined grand tourer for any occasion, 13161 offers an abundance
of classic Ferrari V12 rewards of similar Colombo-engined
counterparts, along with an arguably more comfortable setting.
