Vehicle Description
CPR Classic is delighted to offer this lovely 1969 Porsche 911S
Coupe finished in Burgundy with a tan interior and corduroy
inserts. This example was recently imported from Italy by a
long-time CPR client. This example underwent a ground-up
restoration by Autofficina A.C.R of Montemarciano Italy and has
only traveled several hundred miles since completion. This example
remains numbers matching to include its engine and gearbox.
The car began restoration and was completely disassembled to the
tub and stripped to bare metal. The car went through the metal
process and received panel replacement as necessary and all gaps
were set to factory tolerances. Upon completion in metal, the car
was placed in heavy primer, meticulously prepped, and refinished in
its correct original shade of Burgundy. The car was then thoroughly
color sanded to eliminate orange peel and any light imperfections
and began assembly
Assembly on this 911S appears to have been meticulous, factory
hardware throughout reflects correct plating and surface finishes.
The car's window frames were thoroughly sanded to remove all
imperfections, polished, and dipped to reproduce a correct factory
anodized finish. Exterior components were replaced with new parts
as necessary including corner lenses, horn grills, and so on. The
matching-numbers engine was completely overhauled and built to
stock 2.0L 911S specifications. The matching numbers gearbox was
fully overhauled to include new gear sets and synchros. The car
wears Italian specification European trim throughout.
The undercarriage of this 911S is stunning. Fresh undercoating
finished in black with fully overhauled suspension components with
correct surface finishes. Restored OE hardware with correct plating
and fully restored brake calipers, dust shields, and all-new
bushings make for an undercarriage that you could nearly eat off
of.
The interior was refinished in Tan leatherette with cord seat
inserts. The gauges were completely overhauled with new faces,
pointers, and glass. The fit and finish of the interior are very
tidy with nice attention to detail on small items such as the
restored heater controls. The car wears a correct "diamond"
perforated headliner, a new set of door pockets, a new dash, and a
correct carpet kit to round out the interior.
This 911S presents today as a nearly as-new example that is ready
for back canyon roads or the PCA Concours lawn with its next owner.
If you are in the market for a fully sorted, restoration-grade 911
that will need nothing more than a turn of the ignition key when it
arrives, this is a must-consider 911S.
