Vehicle Description
This 1956 Ford Parklane station wagon received a ground-up
professional restoration in its original colors of Platinum Gray
and Colonial White. It is powered by a 292/200hp Thunderbird V8
engine backed by a 3-speed manual overdrive transmission. All of
the chrome and stainless trim are in excellent condition, as is the
glass. It is equipped with dual factory spotlights, dual mirrors,
pull-out spoke wheel covers, front and rear fender shields, rocker
panel moldings, roof rack, quartz headlights, Ford crest exhaust
deflectors and 1956 Mercury station wagon taillights. The interior
is finished in Fiesta Red and white, and the dash still retains its
original paint. The firewall has never been repainted. This rare
Ford has won awards at the Ford Crown Victoria Association and the
Denver Tri-State show. There were fewer than 12,000 units of these
2-door wagons produced. This one-year-only car was Ford's answer to
the Chevrolet Nomad.
