Details
This 1984 CK/K10 Scottsdale truck is powered by a GM 350 V8 engine backed by a 4-speed transmission sending power to all four wheels through a two-speed transfer case. This modified square-body, step-side truck is the recipient of a red respray which accommodates a black interior. The truck came from the factory with dual gas tanks, power steering, dual exhaust, and a sliding rear window. The K10 has spent its entire life in Oregon, and the current owner has had the truck for about one year and is still located in Waldport, Oregon.
This Chevy Scottsdale presents well with its red paint and black cloth interior, as evidenced by third-party photos. Carfax reported an accident in 2016, and the truck does show rust in multiple places. Also, the truck needs maintenance such as an air filter, oil change, and attention to an oil and differential leak. In addition, the truck does show rust on the underside and in other places. In the vehicle's interior wear is consistent with age. In addition, there is a crack in the dash, and the dash lights need to be replaced. The climate controls function as designed. A third-party inspection of the vehicle was conducted, and reports that the driveline operates as it should. The assessment also notes that the next owner should replace the tires and engine hoses and have the brakes inspected due to excessive surface rust. The odometer reports 56,163 miles. However the stock 305ci engine was reportedly replaced with the current GM 350 crate engine around 1999, therefore true mileage is unknown. Overall the truck is a good example of a "driver" quality vehicle. Included in the sale are service records and the original steering wheel.
This truck is being sold through CLASSIC.COM Pro and is located in Waldport, OR.
About the model
The Chevrolet K10 was a variant of the 3rd gen C/K that was introduced for the 1973 model year. The K10, which was a 1/2 ton, all wheel drive pickup truck, was offered with a wide range of engine options. These engines included inline six, V6, and V8 units whose power ranged from 105hp to 230hp, with drive sent to all four wheels through manual or automatic transmissions. The K10 was available in two bed configurations, with the sleek Fleetside bed, or the fendered Stepside bed being the two options. Notable trim offerings included the Silverado and Scottsdale. For 1987, which was the final year of 3rd Gen K10 production, Chevrolet changed the name of the K10 to the V10, in order to avoid any confusion with the forthcoming fourth generation Chevrolet C/K.
