This is a hot little jalapeno pepper! A performance 340 with a
4-speed and a 3.91 Sure Grip rear in Grandma's little grocery
getter. This thing scoots! It was born like you see it, we have the
original build sheet. We aquired it from a Mopar collection.
EXTERIOR: The body looks to be in excellent shape! It's straight
and it fits real nice, the doors open like a new car. There's no
rust or damage. Repainted it's original Ivy Green Metallic color,
it is laid out evenly and has a glossy clear coat finish. Very rare
sublime green tail stripe, it was born this way. It has the
performance hood treatment which includes the black out stripe,
scoops and racing pins. The windshield was replaced. The bumpers
are rechromed, correct antenna. The weather strips were replaced.
14 inch rally wheels with radial tires are in excellent shape.
INTERIOR: As I sit in this car I am very impressed! It's like
sitting in a new car. In front of me is a new dash pad and
instrument panel with shiny chrome. It has factory gauges and an in
dash tachometer. The heater controls, original radio and steering
wheel are all excellent. The interior metal is painted. Down on the
floor is new carpet, embroidered Swinger mats and a Hurst shifter
sticking out of the hump. The seats I'm sitting on have nice firm
cushion and all new upholstery. The door panels and armrests were
replaced. The headliner, visors, mirror, dome light all look great.
The seatbelts look complete.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is detailed like factory new. It has the
correct 340 engine and it runs strong. The engine is very neatly
painted, the overspray on the hose and negative cable is correct.
It also has correct valve covers, manifolds and air cleaner. It is
upgraded with an Edelbrock 650 carb. It has correct reproduction
plug wires run neatly. It has reproduction hoses and clamps, the
correct radiator, shroud, cap and fan. Reproduction Mopar battery
is secured properly. Every component looks like new: the wiper
motor, alternator, squirers, horns etc. The engine bay is clean
metal painted real slick. It has the fender tag in place.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All clean metal painted smooth and glossy
metallic green and clear coated. The decals, mat, weather strip and
seat divider were replaced. The jack assembly is restored
nicely.
UNDERSIDE: The front end looks like it was rebuilt: bushings,
balljoints, steering components etc. The brakes work great, they
are disc in front. Hoses, lines, rear e- brake cables look fresh.
The fuel tank, sending unit and fuel line have been replaced. It
has a new factory correct dual exhaust system with the chrome
rectangular tips. Bottom of the motor is clean, it has a high
torque starter. The 4-speed is original # matching to this car. The
drive shaft looks like it's been rebuilt. It has it's correct 3.91
Sure Grip rear end. The floors and frame rails look to be clean
solid metal that's been painted black.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and adjusted the idle, replaced the
reverse and brake light switches and adjusted the steering box.
This is a very nice, dialed in Mopar muscle car. Shifting through
the 4 gears with a 3.91 spinning the wheels sounds like fun!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a
particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car.
Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you
will be given a 1 year membership.
