Vehicle Description
This 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Custom coupe known as the
"Phantom Sunset" had a full body-off restoration built over 10
years. The engine compartment was wire-tucked and built out to show
the Weiand supercharged ZZ4 GM crate engine and uses Holley
self-learning EFI. The power plant is backed by a 700R4
transmission outfitted with Corvette internals with a Ford 9-inch
rear end. This Pro-Touring Resto-Mod had the frame cleaned and
powder-coated gray to match the two-tone paint. The suspension
consists of a Scott's IFS front clip and 4-link QA1 coilover
springs in the rear for handling. The car rides on staggered
17-inch front and 18-inch rear Foose nitrous wheels to complement
the stance. The exterior finished in gray and Candy Apple Red paint
and was shaved for a cleaner look, including all door handles,
trunk key latch, antenna and symbols. The chrome was all redipped
or replaced. The interior was all redone with tan leather and black
accents, reshaping the door panels, flooring and seats. The dash
was all redone with Dakota Digital gauges, and the sound system
uses a RetroSound head unit, JBL speakers, subwoofer and amp. It is
also equipped with a Gen 3 Vintage Air system, is outfitted with
wire tuck-and-metal tube bedding inside the engine compartment and
has many billet accessories.
