1951 Ford Tudor (custom)
This is the perfect "Happy Days Hot Rod." It is truly a one-of-a-kind work of custom art. It has a 350 Ci. V8 bored .40 over with a three-speed automatic transmission. It has 9:00/1 compression and dual 500 cfm Carter carbs. It has a Pete Jackson gear drive and a Competition Cams 270 Bumpstick. It has a Chevy dual quad manifold with Corvette valve covers. The hood is louvered. It has cold AC.
This car has extensive beautiful pin striping on the body, on the dash, and in the engine compartment. Take a close look at the photos. The interior has stock seats with traditional 1-inch pleated Naugahyde in an off white. A Pioneer Bluetooth radio and speakers have been added with a powerful 12-inch Kicker subwoofer and separate amp in the trunk with its own separate volume control. It will pound and thump if you choose to crank it up. There are Moon gauges, a tilt steering column, and a "58 Chevy Impala steering wheel. A high-quality pair of electric dumps have been added with the switch in the glove box along with the switch for the power antennae. The exhaust also has a set of dump openings that can be manually removed. You have your choice of either the manual or the electric dumps if you like loud engines, or you can leave the dumps closed and have a beautiful quiet ride.
The body has '91 Corvette Red Deltron paint with '79 Cadilac Gold Flamemist scallops It has shaved emblems, bumper bolts, and door handles. There are electric door poppers and a hidden emergency entrance button. It has frenched taillights from a '59 Cadilac and frenched '55 headlights with '54 Mercury rims. There is a '54 Pontiac grill bar. There is a frenched power antenna, peep mirrors and dummy spotlights.
The suspension is a Mustang II Subframe kit from Fat Man Fabrications. There are heavy duty brakes and rack and pinion steering with leaf springs in the rear. This car drives effortlessly and perfectly straight down the highway at 70 mph.
This is a head-turner everywhere you take it. It is truly reminiscent of the early days of hot rods in the 1950s, but with modern power and conveniences.
