This Shelby Cobra 427 Roadster is an aluminum-bodied CSX4000 continuation model built in 2004. The vehicle has a dark blue metallic exterior with a black leather interior and a 510ci V8 engine manufactured by Shelby mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Roll hoop, side-exit exhaust pipes, 15-inch Halibrand wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, lap belts, and Smiths instruments are among the other notable features.

The aluminum bodywork is covered in dark blue metallic paint and is reported to be one of two "Phantom" Cobra versions created with bespoke graphics and Carroll Shelby's name embedded in the paint. This Cobra is sporting magnesium coating finish 15" Halibrand wheels wrapped in Avon Radial tires, size 245/60 in front and 295/50 in back. The vehicle has four-wheel independent suspension, coil-overs, rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes.

The cabin features black dashboard, carpeting, and leather bucket seats. A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits in front of the Smiths instrumentation that includes a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The odometer reads 3,119 miles, with about 450 added under the most recent ownership.

The 510ci Shelby-built side-oiler V8 making over 575 horsepower and 610lb-feet of torque has a single Holley carburetor, aluminum radiator, polished air cleaner, and 427-branded valve covers.

Ten of these driving' machines were scheduled to be produced with each featuring its own distinctive Phantom paint job and a Cobra ghost-painted on each side of the car. In the end, there were only two of these special serpents ever produced, each listed in SAAC's Shelby World Registry. The first was built for Carroll Shelby and presented to him on his 80th birthday. The second and last one to ever be built was this specific example. It is also the only one with Shelby's name ghost-painted on the hood.

This CSX4000 is offered with a duplicate statement of origin, a certificate of authenticity for the engine, a copy of World Registry of Cobra and GT40s, and a clean California title listing the car as a specially constructed vehicle.

Upon arrival at Canepa, every collector car for sale is put through an extensive and diligent process called the "Canepa Difference." This includes a major and comprehensive mechanical inspection where all systems are checked, serviced, and restored as needed. They also receive an award-winning concours-level detailing, including a thorough cleaning of each and every surface.

Don't wait, as this may be your only chance at obtaining the elusive Shelby "Phantom" Cobra!
