Vehicle Description
Here at Coyote Classics, we like to say that each car has a story.
For some, that may be more true than others. This is truly one of
those cars, a beautiful 1972 Pontiac LeMans. As previously stated,
this one sure does have a story. Featuring only 95,000 miles since
new, this '72 LeMans was pulled out of a barn after being stored
for most of its life. The owners were shocked to find that the the
car only needed a repaint and a tune-up after sitting for so long!
Additionally, this Pontiac sports the original paperwork belonging
to the original owner, including the window sticker (which shows
that it was sold new at Schoon Motor Sales in Luverne, Minnesota
for a final price of $4,233.60), owner's manual, emissions
information, "Protect-O-Plate", and more! It's definitely not often
that you come across a car with a history such as this. By 1972,
emissions equipment and detuned engine regulations had started to
take a toll on the performance cars of all automakers. However,
Pontiac still managed to put out some impressive cars during the
waning years of unregulated performance. This 1972 LeMans is a
great example of those cars. Powered by a 350 C.I. V8 breathing
easy through a 2-barrel carburetor, this Pontiac's 350 still makes
more than enough power and it cruises even better. Torque from that
350 connects to the pavement through the use of a smooth-shifting
3-speed automatic transmission, perfect for effortless cruising.
Due to the aforementioned 2019 repaint, this '72 LeMans looks
absolutely gorgeous in correct 43-code "Springfield Green".
Additionally, that black vinyl top compliments the green paint
wonderfully as it was buffed to a beautiful shine. Stepping into
the interior feels just like stepping back into 1972, as there
hasn't been a thing that has been touched. The matching green
cloth-and-vinyl bench seats are extremely comfortable, like riding
a sofa down the freeway. Rest assured, this incredibly original
interior is fitting for such a magnificent cruiser as this LeMans
is. Options fitted to this time capsule of a car include power
steering, power brakes, factory gauges, an original pushbutton AM
radio, a remote left-hand mirror, a tilt steering wheel, air
conditioning, and a nice-sounding dual exhaust system. The car
rides stunningly well on gleaming 17" chrome American Racing wheels
over some slick blackwall tires for optimal grip. If you're looking
for a car that will give you a feeling as if you're stepping back
into the days of the Nixon administration while driving, this just
might be the car to walk you down memory lane. This LeMans is
looking for a new owner, and it can't wait to stay in your
driveway!
