Vehicle Description
Some Galaxie hardtops are built to look mean, but this 1965 Ford
Galaxie 500 is out to remind you that performance can also be
classy. An attractive classic paint theme is combined with a custom
interior and cold-blowing A/C to create a terrific big V8
cruiser.
Springtime Yellow is the right color for this coupe. Not only does
it have the right look of a classic cruiser, but also, the trim tag
tells us it's factory-correct. And the later respray gives it an
attractive gloss in the sunshine. Good body panels, bright chrome
bumpers, and complete trim - right down to the 390 V8 badges - make
for a very vintage and very appealing coupe. But while the exterior
looks like it's turning back the clock, the overall presentation
will show you solid investments to make this a comfortable cruiser.
So as you investigate further, keep in mind how retro-cool the
exterior is because rarely do you find a proper driver that looks
this vintage on the outside.
Inside, you can tell there were investments to enhance both
performance and comfort. This starts with the cloth front bucket
seats that were borrowed from a later Subaru. And the tasteful tan
look of the carpeting, door panels, rear bench, and dash make for
quite an inviting car. Plus, there are more well-integrated
upgrades like an armrest center console, cup holders, Pro-Comp
ultralight auxiliary gauges, and cold-blowing air conditioning. But
even with these upgrades, this doesn't lose its vintage feeling.
The classic style is in everything from the working dome light to
the steering wheel that has the worn-in grip of the generations
that have come before you.
The callouts on the fenders were not lying. Under the hood is
Ford's desirable 390 cubic-inch V8. It's nice to show off with the
golden glow of the block and air grabber, and the compressor and
valve covers have a good shine, too. There's the right substance
behind this style where the big V8 inhales deeper with a Holley 600
four-barrel carburetor. It exhales with a solid V8 tune thanks to
Cherry Bomb-style resonators on the dual exhaust. There are nice
cruising features like the three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, modern touring tires, and power brakes with front
discs.
Complete with title documentation, this is an impressive total
presentation where you can really see how this is a terrific
hardtop built to be a terrific cruiser. So this is a driver's
coupe, and you know that's irresistible. Call today!!!
