1982 Jeep CJ5 Laredo! This gorgeous CJ5 is a 2 owner Jeep from new. The gentleman I acquired the Jeep from got it from his father. The blue Texas title that accompanies the Jeep was issued in 1993. The 82 CJ5 Laredo is a very rare Jeep! They had planned to discontinue the CJ5 in 1981 to make way for CJ7 production, however production on CJ5 did carry into 82 and a bit into 83. 82 was the last year you could get Laredo Package on a CJ5. 6K CJ5's rolled off the assembly line in 82, compared to an average of 30-40k Jeeps per year in the years prior. What makes this Jeep even more rare is that it came painted black when new! Jeep preferred not to paint their vehicle's black as it showed a lot of flaws in the body work and took them more time to make look good. This Jeep has a Chevrolet 350 V8 swap paired with a TH400 automatic transmission. The engine and trans were fully serviced recently with receipts in hand. It has an upgraded audio system with Bluetooth capabilities and has benefitted from a driver quality repaint in the last couple of years along with fresh Laredo livery.
