Vehicle Description
This 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 tribute seems to do it all a
bit sleeker and cleaner. Plus, the enhanced rumble of the big block
shows it also knows how to be meaner.
The bold red gives this Chevy an instant presence. This is an
upgrade done sometimes later in life, and that means a modern
luster that looks great in the sunlight. It sets an aggressive tone
for this SS tribute, and the white racing stripes painted on top
really doubles-down on the intimidation. Plus, there's the cowl
hood, hood pins, SS badging, blackout grille are all part of this
sporty style. More than just powerful, they made sure the body
panels are well aligned and the doors fit well for an impressive
overall presentation. And there's the right gleaming brightwork
with the big chrome bumpers and half chrome headlights. Best of
all, the 15-inch Cragar SS wheels bring in the shining and powerful
look together.
The black interior is quite clean and inviting for a driver's car.
The door panels, dash, and headliner have a stock look. Plus, front
seats are upgraded buckets with excellent bolstering for superior
comfort. You may want to upgrade details like the stereo or factory
gauges, but what this really offers from day one is a proper
driver's experience. That's why you have a grippy wood-rimmed
sports steering wheel, power steering, a center console with a
horseshoe shifter, and essential readouts under the dash.
Under the hood is an awesome powerplant. Those valve covers
announce this as a 454 cubic-inch V8 big block, and you'll love to
put it on full display thanks to the smooth inner walls of the
engine bay and overall tidy style. This big block has also been
built for added performance with a Holley four-barrel carburetor,
an Edelbrock intake, an aluminum radiator, and long tube headers
feeding the dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. There are even
cutouts whenever you really want to bring the thunder! This was
built to put serious power to the ground so it's nicely paired with
the stout and smooth TH400 three-speed automatic transmission that
connects to a 12-bolt rear end. And they made some nice investments
to keep this feeling solid on the road. This includes the newer
polyurethane bushings, strong tubular rear arms, and power brakes
with drilled & slotted front discs.
This Chevelle loves to be the kind of car that's fun to drive and
