The Zimmer Motorcars Corporation was founded in 1978 by Art Zimmer, building neo-classically styled automobiles with Golden Spirit being its flagship model. Producing about 1,500 cars from 1978-1988, the Golden spirit was built on a Ford Mustang chassis and drivetrain. The elongated fiberglass bodies were designed to reflect classic cars from the 1920s and 30s.
