Originally assembled on June 9, 1961, this custom BODY-OFF RESTORED 1961 Corvette Convertible features a rare auxiliary hardtop, has been fitted with a 5 speed manual transmission for comfortable highway cruising, as well as 4 wheel disc brakes for safety, and fuel injection for reliability, and is in very nice condition as well. This car's paint is good-vg, with a great shine. Chrome bumpers and exterior door handles show a vg-exc finish, and weatherstripping, emblems, and taillights are vg-exc as well. 15 inch polished American Racing Torq Thrust II wheels have been added, and BF Goodrich Radial T/A blackwall tires show an average of 9/32nds tread depth remaining. The interior of this 1961 Corvette Convertible shows vg-exc recent custom leather seat, vg-exc carpet, gauges, dash pad, and seatbelts, and vg door panels. Correct appearing Wonderbar AM radio is in place, and a smaller diameter aftermarket padded leather steering wheel has been added. NOM 327ci engine shows casting number 3782870. Additions to this engine include a Comp Cams camshaft, Vortec centerbolt heads, chrome air cleaner, FITECH fuel injection, polished Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, polished finned valve covers, electric fan, aluminum radiator, Powermaster generator, MSD Blaster ignition coil, polished harmonic balancer, billet aluminum pulleys, chrome oil dipstick, chrome water outlet, and Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers. Correct ignition shielding is in place, and the front of the car has been lowered on a Progressive Automotive custom frame, with added Mustang II front suspension, coil overs, 9th generation Ford Thunderbird rack & pinion manual steering, and a Ford 9 inch rear-end.
