Vehicle Description
At first glance, the 1934 Fords didn't look all that different than
the 33's, and Ford ads even boasted that "There is nothing
experimental about this new car." But there were some useful
engineering changes and an attractive facelift to grill and hood
louver design. The 1934 V-8 also boasted 10 more horsepower, for a
total of 85. All in thanks to trading the problematic Detroit
Lubricator carbs for a new two-barrel version mounted on top a
newly designed intake manifold.
Seldom seen in its original form anymore, as many have migrated
into customs, it's a true delight to find one restored to a more
original era specification. We are pleased to offer this fantastic,
original steel 1934 Ford Model 40 Victoria Sedan finished in Sahara
Tan with Red wheels and pinstripe over Tan & Brown two-tone Bedford
cloth interior. Fitted with special deluxe options like dual cowl
lights, dual taillights, dual horns, cowl ventilation, cigarette
lighter, glove box, adjustable front seat, and overhead dome light.
Additional options include a driver side mirror, working AM radio,
rearview mirror clock, and Arvin interior heater (in-op fan
motor).
A wonderful looking and great driving car! The correct 221ci
Flathead 21-stud engine and 3-speed manual transmission operate
smoothly and easily. A brand new 6-volt battery provides reliable
starts and ease of storage with a disconnect attached for times of
storage. Firestone Deluxe Champion 5.25-5.50 wide whitewall tires
and a rear-mounted full spare tire with steel cover really make the
car stand out and add to its already striking good looks! This car
was also upfitted with hydraulic brakes for added safety while
driving on today's roads, in addition to an auxiliary electric fuel
pump, engine oil filter, and under dash oil pressure gauge.
Although not original, those modifications are a welcome addition
if one plans on enjoying the car.
As seen in the photos this is a very solid steel car with paint
that does show well although it does have a slight patina to it
having been repainted over 20 years ago. The interior is much newer
and was completed with high quality and correct wool materials. The
mechanicals were said to have been restored under previous
ownership and the condition would reflect that. It has been
preserved with a former Montana Ford collector who housed a rather
impressive personal Ford Museum collection for the past 20 years.
He located this car from Arizona when he acquired it. We believe
the mileage on the odometer to be original, however we do not have
enough documentation to support an original mileage claim and thus
is being sold mileage exempt. The Ford Victoria made up a very
small percentage of 1934 production, accounting for under 4% of the
total vehicles produced for resale. Today, these unmodified
examples are highly coveted! We do have a clear Missouri title for
this car utilizing its original Ford vehicle number located on the
factory chassis. We would be happy to answer any questions you may
have and can assist with Worldwide shipping if needed.
