Vehicle Description
Cruisin Classics is proud to present to you this 1967 Chevrolet
Camaro RS. This beautiful first generation Camaro was born Marina
Blue but sits before us today with a deep, glossy coat of Nantucket
Blue Paint with White stripes on the hood and decklid. The front
end is iconic with the headlights hidden behind the black grill
with "rs" badging. The headlights in 67 were electric (as opposed
to vacuum) and these open and close quickly and simultaneously just
as they should. The front bumper has a bright chrome finish and the
black chin spoiler beneath it adds to the great look. A front
license plate holder finds a purpose with a gold bowtie on chrome
filling the space. The sides of the car are nice and straight with
good body gaps. White pinstripes flow down the upper body lines
from front to back and provide a nice accent to the blue. Looking
down the sides, there's a fair amount of gleaming brightwork to
catch the eye. The front fenders both sport "rs", Camaro, and 327
Cross-flags badges, as well as wheel lip molding. Dual chrome side
mirrors, chrome door handles, drip rail molding, window molding,
and chrome rocker covers all gleam in the light. The eye candy
continues around back with a rear spoiler, center-positioned "rs"
gas-cap, nice rear bumper, shining tail light surrounds, chrome
accented reverse lights, and chrome exhaust tips. This whole
package sits atop 5-spoke Crager SS wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich
Radial T/A's - a great look! Under the hood is a very clean and
organized engine bay with slick black paint surrounding the orange
327 block at the center. In 1967, most of the 327 blocks were not
stamped with a VIN-matching series of numbers - making it
impossible to prove they're numbers-matching. That said, they do
have date codes, and if they all fall close enough together you
could reasonably assume it to be an original drivetrain. In this
case, the engine was cast on 11/8/66, the engine was built
12/21/66, the transmission (a 2-speed Power-glide) was built
1/3/67, and the car was built 1/10/67. The engine suffix code tells
us that it was made to pair specifically with a 2-speed Power-glide
transmission in 1967. These factors lead us to believe that this
car retains its original engine and transmission (or at the very
least they are as era correct as they could possibly be). This V-8
is topped with a 2-barrel carburetor, a black air cleaner with
210hp sticker, and orange Chevrolet valve covers. While under the
hood you'll also notice very clean cast manifolds leading back to a
newer exhaust, a power steering pump, a dual reservoir for the drum
brakes, and newer under-hood matting. When you open the drivers
door you're greeted by an exceptionally nice, light blue deluxe
interior. The interior was originally standard, but the upgrade to
the deluxe seats with the white accent stripes takes things to
another level visually. The vinyl bucket seats, as well as the rear
seat are in like-new condition. The rear seat is a factory-ordered
"fold-down" seat - a rather rare option. The door panels, rear side
panels, and front kick panels are in great shape as well with nice
brightwork accents. The blue vinyl headliner is tight and the blue
hook loop carpet looks great under the carpeted logo floormats.
There are dual visors up front and 2 coat hooks in the rear.
Between the seats is a nice center console with storage box,
shifter, and gauge cluster with fuel, temp, oil, and battery gauges
as well as a clock (inop.). The dash houses a speedometer,
tachometer, heater and fan controls, and a Custom Autosound
AM/FM/Cassette Stereo for your favorite cruisin tunes. The driver
is treated to a blue 3-spoke "rs" steering wheel. In the glovebox
is an original owners manual and stereo instructions. Back in the
trunk is a full spare on a rally wheel, a factory jack, car cover,
and a factory assembly manual. This 67 RS Camaro is an absolutely
beautiful first-gen cruiser that's ready to hit the road today!
Just hop in, hit the key, and go!
