Vehicle Description
Big block V8 power, a mean-looking style, and driver-oriented
upgrades all come together to give this 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS
396 an appealing total package. And as you look at all the details,
it really shows off a classic made for driving.
While the original '67 Chevelles were chrome kings, this one has
positively gone over to the dark side. The grille, bumpers, door
handles, and most trim are all black. Even a set of US Mags wheels
with a 17/18-inch front/rear stagger and wider adds to this
darkness while giving you the right muscle car stance. And the gray
paint has a unique style where it's a bit glossy and modern, and it
also has a touch of that primer-style primal beast feel. But even
with these upgrades, this one always loves to show off its vintage
flair because it's a real-deal Super Sport. There are great SS
pieces, like the vent trim hood (now in black,) ribbed rockers,
wide dual exhaust tips, and full SS badging.
The black accents of the exterior also get you ready for the black
interior. The seats, carpeting, dash, and other fundamentals show
well from newer investments. It makes for an inviting package on
the kind of coupe that was really made to be driven. Front bucket
seats and a center console mean a true driver's setup. There are
plenty of driver-oriented upgrades, which include the sports
steering wheel, a tilt column, and a fully upgraded gauge panel
with AutoMeter readouts - including the large speedo and tach. They
upgraded the radio to a retro-style AM/FM stereo for better driving
music. But of course, we bet the sound you really love the most
happens when you roll down all the windows on this pillarless
hardtop and let the big block sing.
The engine bay has the clean and mean appearance you want in a
Super Sport. We like how the valve covers and engine components are
painted black to match the inner walls and really give this a dark
heart. At the center is a year-correct (non-number match) 396 cubic
inch V8. It inhales deeply with Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor
and Edelbrock intake, and it exhales with a nice tune from the dual
exhaust. Out on the streets, the TH400 three-speed transmission is
stout enough to handle the muscle, and it's also comfortable enough
to ease into automatic cruising. There are also nice driving
features like power steering, wide modern tires, and poly bushings
for better driving.
This is a mean-looking hardtop that has a lot of fun inside. There
are details that you may want to upgrade on this one like the
improving the finish or upgrading the brakes. But overall, there is
an irresistible factor to a real-deal Super Sport with an enhanced
attitude. Call today!!!
