Zoom Classic Cars presents this 1985 Chrysler Laser Coupe. A super
clean and unmolested example of a rarely seen model these days.
This 1985 Chrysler Laser is the rarer of the two G bodies produced
and only lasted three years (1984-1986), unlike it's brother, the
Dodge Daytona that lasted into 1993. Having just a few long term
owners, this car was always treated with the respect it deserved.
Unlike most of these which makes it such a rarity today. A recent
owner treated the car to a very sympathetic exterior cosmetic
restoration. The original Radiant Silver paint was duplicated and
applied well. New old stock trim and even decals were sourced to
replace the original faded ones. The super cool 'swiss cheese'
alloy wheels are either brand new NOS or perfectly restored. We
haven't seen these wheels this nice since these cars were new! The
Mark Cross leather interior is in terrific condition and is still
supple. Beautiful leather, carpeting, door panels and dashboard.
The original fabric headliner is just starting to get lose around
the outer edges (very common and easily remedied). This Laser is
equipped with the ever so famous 2.2 liter TURBOCHARGED, fuel
injected engine and is mated to a FIVE SPEED MANUAL transmission.
The most sought after combination on one of these! Tilt steering,
cruise control, a later Mopar AM/FM CD and cassette stereo is
installed as is air conditioning. Believe it or not this was a base
model Laser so it's got manual windows and locks (Not a bad
thing!). Fully serviced and ready to go. Newer timing belt and
water pump. Fully tuned and oil changed. Tires like new. Good
brakes, etc....Nothing to attend to. Just drive and enjoy and get
smiles from everyone that sees it. These cars are becoming more and
more in demand as a younger collector genre enters the market.
