What makes it collectible? It is an SLP SS with low mileage and a
very rare color combination, just 1 of 7 built!
The SLP team gave this car more power, better brakes, tuned
suspension, wider tires, and a custom exhaust. Not to mention the
menacing hood and SS emblems! With a massaged 5.7 liter under the
hood producing 300 horsepower this Camaro went 0-60 in 5.3 seconds
and hit the quarter mile in 13.7 seconds at 102 MPH. Those are some
serious numbers in 1996. That engine is backed by a very fun
6-speed manual transmission!
2,410 SS Camaros were built total in 1996. Only 3.4% of these cars
were painted Teal, making it the rarest color by far! Only 77 were
built in Teal this year, between coupes and convertibles.
Convertibles made up just 11.67% of those built. Only 10 Teal
convertibles were built, and 7 of those were 6-speed manuals.
That's right .... This Camaro SS is 1 of just 7 built! What more
