West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely stunning and exceptional example of this original southern California owner 2000 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS Roadster convertible in the highly desirable color combination of original factory 'Bright Rally Red' exterior paint with a 'Natural Beige' leather interior and matching a Tan soft top and with only 45K original miles!The Chevrolet Camaro SS was a high-performance variant of the Fourth Generation Camaro that was introduced for the 1996 model year. When the 4th Generation Camaro was introduced in 1993, it was offered with the Z28 upgrade for those seeking more punch in performance. Starting in 1996, Street Legal Performance (SLP) teamed up with Chevrolet to develop the new SS. This new performance package started with a base Z28 Package, which was delivered to SLP where they made slight exhaust modifications and upped the horsepower from 275 to 310 hp. The SS also included a functional stinger hood scoop, and a duck tail rear spoiler. A small window of 1996 cars may wear both Z/28 and SS badging but ultimately the Z28 call outs were removed, and SS badges and center caps solely adorned the car. For the 1998 model year the Camaro got a facelift, and better yet the LS1 block was now the standard V8 with 305 Horsepower in the Z28, and with the SS option, performance started at 320 Horsepower. With some more SLP options it was possible to achieve 345 HP for 2002. Production of the 4th Gen Camaro SS ended in 2002, when Chevrolet debuted the Fifth Generation Chevrolet Camaro.Always garaged with only one small bumper incident requiring repair - always owned and driven by it's mature original owner - never abused - babied all the way! The original factory 'Bright Rally Red' paint is in absolutely beautiful condition and the 'Natural Beige' leather interior is also in exceptional condition throughout.
