This 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is powered by its original
drivetrain, including the matching-numbers 400ci V8 engine backed
by its matching-numbers 4-speed manual transmission connected to
the original posi-traction rear end. It underwent a full frame-off
restoration completed in September 2022. As part of the
restoration, the engine was removed, torn down and freshened with
all new gaskets and seals, with a new water pump and new
alternator, and a 2-inch dual exhaust system was also installed.
The exterior is finished in Charcoal Gray. This Trans Am is
factory-equipped with power disc brakes, power steering and air
conditioning. It is optioned with a shaker hood and 15-inch Rally
wheels. The vehicle's black bucket-seat interior features a center
console, remote driver's side-view mirror, a factory 8-track player
and an aftermarket Sony AM/FM cassette stereo. 42,681 miles (title
reads mileage exempt).
