Vehicle Description
This 1969 Ford Mustang custom fastback is powered by a new Ford
Racing Coyote 5.0-liter V8 engine rated at 430hp and fitted with
DSE custom long-tube headers paired with a TREMEC Magnum T56
6-speed manual transmission and hydraulic clutch, aluminum
driveline and a MOSER Engineering Ford 9-inch rear end with
3.73-ratio gears. The exhaust system is a custom-fabricated
stainless-steel system and includes MagnaFlow mufflers. The
suspension and chassis were modified with Detroit Speed and
Engineering components to include DSE #20 Aluma-Frame front
suspension system, DSE shock tower delete panels, DSE sub-frame
connectors, DSE QUADRALink rear suspension, DSE mini-tubs, DSE fuel
tank and electronic control fuel management system, DSE steering
linkage and rack & pinion steering. It was custom-tuned by Fuel
Injection Specialties of San Antonio, TX. The wheels are new Aodhan
Forge gloss black units wrapped in Nitto tires. All sheet metal is
factory except for the front and rear lower valance panels.
Originally, the paint on the body was a factory Ford mix named
Oxford White with Gunmetal Gray paint on the hood and key parts of
the car. In 2020, it was professionally wrapped in a Battleship
Gray by Purple Flare Wraps in Las Vegas, NV. The interior includes
RECARO Ergomed ES power heated and ventilated front seats. The rear
seat is the original, upholstered in the same leather to match the
seats. The rear seat retains the factory fold-down function. The
one-piece headliner is from Mustangs to Fear, along with the carpet
and floor mats. The instrument cluster is from Dakota Digital and
the HVAC system is a new Gen 5 Sure Fit unit from Vintage Air. The
car was sprayed with two coats of Lizard Skin Spray-On insulation,
including both thermal and sound formulas to include the underneath
and interior, as well as the firewall, quarter-panels, roof and
trunk areas. To add to the comfort level the inside, the floor,
roof panel, doors and quarter-panels were covered with Dynamat.
Baer disc brakes all around make this car stop and include 13-inch
drilled and slotted rotors and 6-piston calipers, and the parking
brake is from E-Stop Brakes. A custom audio system with a hidden
amplifier was installed for entertainment.
