The 1976 Chevrolet Corvette was one of the purest forms of the C3
line, but it never got the big power from the factory that its
earlier siblings did. Not only does this one rectify that with a
well-built 400ci V8, but also you get terrific features -
everything from an overdrive transmission to air conditioning.
The '76 car hits the sweet spot for many C3 Stingray fans. It's one
of the few years that combines the right styling elements. This
means the full color-matched bumper set (with a single-piece rear)
that also has the smooth flying buttress-style rear end. This one
takes pride in that style with a clean look and classic details
like the rally wheels and rear luggage rack. But there's more going
on here. The factory silver paint was taken many shades deeper to
give it a bit more modern flair. And the convex tail lights and
wide dual exhaust tips also hint at an upgraded machine.
The Dark Firethorn red interior is a great-looking pairing for the
dark silver exterior, and when it looks this good, you'll happily
share the full color package with the world. That's what makes a
T-top Corvette so awesome to have. And with cold-blowing R134a air
conditioning, it's easy to have open-top fun even in the summer.
This has a great feeling with high-back bucket seats, power
windows, a tilt steering column, plush carpeting, and an overall
clean and comfy setup. There are even nice upgrades, like cup
holders, an AM/FM digital tuner, and a key fob alarm.
The engine bay is a very cool setup. The C3 Corvette was known for
some terrific big blocks but the 1976 car only has the 350 small
block. So we love how the upgraded 400 cubic-inch motor that's now
under the hood gives us a small block weight but a big block
displacement. It's a well-done performance build with a Holley
four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, Mickey
Thompson finned valve covers, and wrapped headers feeding the dual
exhaust. This even has the right supporting components, like an HEI
distributor and an aluminum radiator with electric fans. The 700R4
four-speed automatic transmission is a nice upgrade for an ideal
pairing because it offers both a stout construction and smooth
overdrive comfort. Power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes,
and the C3's fully independent sports suspension complete this
solid driving total package.
This is the combo of power and style you've always wanted. But
since there's only one of these unique machines up for grabs,
you're going to want to hurry up and call today!
