This 1978 Buick Regal revels in a cool cruiser style. So you have
an extra sleek exterior, subtly cool upgrades, a comfy A/C
interior, and a distinct engine upgrade.
This was the first year for the new generation of Regal. They had a
dignified look with the waterfall grille and well-contoured chrome
bumpers. But the well-chiseled lines and hint of flared fenders
also seem like no accident. Buick gave these a hint of sportier
style as the Regal entered its turbo era. This one enhances that
feeling further with tasteful upgrades. The badging on the body was
deleted for a smoother style, and then the finish was upgraded to a
deep blue with a good gloss. And we bet you also noticed details
like the turbo hood and the GM N90 wheels that were on speedy
Chevys like the Monte Carlo SS and Camaro Z/28.
Like a true Buick, the interior is about making everyone
comfortable. So you have two wide rows of seats done in a plush
cloth. And the driver gets a more individual style with details
like the fold-down armrest and a tilt column. Those looking for
perfection could use the value price to reinvest in carpeting,
dash, or other fundamentals. But we like this car right now for not
taking anything too seriously inside and out. It is more about
being a proper cruiser. That's why you have nice upgrades like
cold-bowing R134a air conditioning, an AM/FM stereo with USB and
Bluetooth, and a full subwoofer speaker system.
Under the hood is a 3.8-liter V6. This was a later swap, and it
makes this one quite interesting. After all, it's just a
turbocharger away from being a T-type or Grand Nation tribute
(remember, it even already has the turbo hood!) But you don't need
to add anything to this package to enjoy this Buick. The V6 is a
hardy motor with a smooth nature, and the newer exhaust makes this
regal feel quite Regal. So it's a solid cruiser from day one. And
you have good driving features like three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
This is a cool-looking Regal with a driver-ready and driver-quality
style that just knows how to amplify and upgrade your favorite
parts of a true cruiser. Call today!!!
